I have been flying for nearly 5 years now, almost exclusively for environmental, agricultural, energy, and construction projects. My favorite use cases for UAVs are in environmental, forestry, agriculture, and inspection projects that require LiDAR, multispectral, or OGI image collections. I use: DJI GNSS for RTK and Agisoft Metashape to produce orthomosaics and 3D products for simple export as mesh models, point clouds, raster data, or shapes/vector data.
Having worked field tech positions in the high mountains for many years, both as a pilot and environmentalist, I am very comfortable in remote areas or field sites that require travel or multi day collections.
