Currently working as a drone pilot for The Inspection Depot and Eberl Claims Service. I inspect properties, commercial and residential, to help determine insurance premiums and to assist with insurance claims due to unexpected perils. I earned my Part 107 FAA license last year. Recently, I've been a boilermaker at a local shipyard and an auto claims adjuster for a major automobile insurance carrier. Before 2023 I enjoyed a 25 year career as a forensic document examiner. I exited the forensic science world as a supervisor at the Mississippi Forensics Laboratory in Biloxi, MS. My favorite part of being a forensic scientist was teaching, public speaking, and testifying in court.
I'm an unapologetic DIYer. I enjoy working on the house, fixing the car, and accomplishing things with my hands. Most recently I enclosed a small porch and turned it into a second bathroom. I did it by myself, and it took nearly a year from start to finish, but it was well worth it. I did the framing, electrical, drywall, tile, plumbing, and replaced an old hot water tank with a new tankless water heater.
